Methodology

Content alignment

Every question and study guide is built around the BACB RBT Task List 2.0 — the official task list the BACB tests against. Each question carries a competency field (e.g. A-01, F-02) so you can study by competency and identify weak spots.

Question bank

The bank currently contains 529 questions:

  • Sectional quizzes: focused topic-by-topic practice (244 questions across 6 content areas)
  • Revision quizzes: short reviews (30 questions)
  • Full practice exams: 85-question simulations of the real exam (255 questions)

Difficulty calibration

Each question is tagged basic, intermediate, or advanced. Basic questions test recall of definitions and procedures. Intermediate questions ask you to apply concepts in clear contexts. Advanced questions are scenario-based — they describe a realistic client interaction and require you to choose the best clinical decision.

Explanations

Every question includes a substantive explanation, not just an answer letter. Explanations teach the underlying concept and call out why each distractor is wrong, so you learn from mistakes rather than just memorize answers.

Updates

Study guides show their last-updated date. Questions are reviewed in sweeps; the next sweep is scheduled when the BACB publishes a task-list revision. Read our editorial policy for the full process.
