Editorial Policy
Source of truth
All content is written against the official BACB RBT Task List 2.0. When the BACB publishes a revised task list, content is reviewed and updated within 60 days of publication.
Question writing
Every question is mapped to a specific competency code on the RBT Task List. Scenario-based questions describe realistic client work and require applying — not just recalling — the relevant skill. Distractors (wrong answers) are written to reflect common misconceptions, not arbitrary plausibility.
Review
Each question is reviewed for: (1) alignment with the cited competency, (2) clinical accuracy, (3) clarity of wording, (4) plausibility of distractors, and (5) presence of a substantive explanation that teaches the underlying concept, not just identifies the answer.
Updates
Study guides display the date of their most recent review. We re-review the full content library at least annually, and immediately when the BACB updates the task list.
Corrections
If you find an error — a wrong answer, an outdated reference, an unclear explanation — email [email protected]. We acknowledge corrections within 48 hours and publish fixes within 7 days.
